Loading... Please wait...There they go, Mikey and Hound Dog! You never know what they will do next. But you do know it'll be good, clean fun on grandpa and grandma's farm. Mikey is the teaser. Hound Dog is the comedian. Grandpa takes them on a hayride. Grandma tells neat little stories. Mikey learns how to tell a good snake from a bad snake. He knows all about poison ivy, and getting lost in the woods. Hound Dog never gives up trying to catch the big birds in the sky! Until death do them part, they will be best buddies forever. This is a story book that big kids and adults can read to younger kids.

This book tells not only lessons from nature and farm life but also exemplifed the importance of family and belief in God.
Hound dog and Mikey, remind us of what is most important in a world that is becoming more rushed and impersonal.

The author incorporates in her book--about a young boy's trials and temptations--the lessons that teach the principles of Christianity and citizenship.

This book is refreshingly delightful. Portrays such a peaceful life of a small boy and his dog. Memories that any child would cherish.
When listening to the stories, a child is placed in a world of rich childhood experiences and learning--a childhood that cements a healthy relationship to God, family, animals and nature.

I have read many books to my students--over thirty years. It is a pleasure to find a book that presents life lessons and Christian values.
