In The Church that Does Not Fall, Lee Roy Holmes gives convincing answers from the Bible and the writings of Ellen White to answer these questions and more. But while addressing tough issues, Holmes reminds us that God is at the head of the church, and that when everything seems to be crumbling around us, He has a plan and has us in His hands.

Lee Roy Holmes' book is timely, forceful, and clear. Its comprehensive, balanced, and practical approach is just what is needed in the final crisis of a church caught between those who would lead the church astray and those in danger of going astray because of problems in the church.
In each of 14 chapters Holmes provides clear principles from both the Bible and the Testimonies to that particular issue. He acknowledges the reality of the invisible Church and evades no problem facing the visible Church. Yet, he establishes that the Church that does not fall is the visible Church that God denominated and identified as His remnant.
An important feature is Holmes' extensive treatment of how to deal with the problems of the Church and how to avoid deception by sophisticated, well-disguised wolves in sheep's clothing. The key to both is the need to remain close to Christ and to His church as we submit ourselves one to another, "in the Lord."

Written in a positive, optimistic tone, The Church That Does Not Fall begins with chapters defining the church, the remnant, and Laodicea. After contrasting Babylon and the true church, Holmes shows that the Seventh-day Adventist church is not in apostasy. The church does face a shaking time, but God loves the church and it will triumph.
Unusually well organized with definitions and salient points clearly delineated, the author skillfully defends the church while also acknowledging problems, difficulties and controversy. This book will help confirm a reader’s faith in the Adventist church.

A tremendous amount of thought and research has gone into the preparation of this book. I’m thrilled with the prospect of seeing it in print as soon as possible.

There is a tremendous need for this book as there is a serious drift within the church. I wish that every member and especially every pastor would read this book.

This is a book that is desperately needed by the church. It addresses widespread ideas that undermine our members’ faith. I would like to see this book in the hands of every pastor.
