What's your favorite part of working at TEACH Services?
The opportunities that arise daily to help authors see their words come to life, and to know that these words will provide inspiration, hope, comfort, and blessings to those who read them. Also, I love working alongside my TEACH Services family members. It is very rewarding to be a part of a team that is single-minded in its goal to bring God's message to the world.
What's your favorite memory of interacting with a customer?
When an author told me that in spite of having spent years writing her manuscript, and after going through the initial process of submitting it for publication, and even signing the contract, it was when she received a message from me that began, “Welcome Author” that she cried at the realization that she was “truly, finally an author.”
What is your responsibility at TEACH Services?
As Publisher & Operations Manager, it is my responsibility to act as a conduit between our authors and the various departments such as editing, typesetting and graphic design. My goal is to encourage the talented, self-motivated members of each department to strive for excellence and innovation while maintaining the time-honored standards developed during our 27-year history.

What does “When You’re Here, You’re Family” mean to you?
This is a very literal statement for me. I work for my uncle who owns the company, I work in the same office as my dad, I work with my aunt, and my other uncle has written many books that I’ve helped sell! So now it’s really neat to actually be a part of the TEACH team. But aside from the literal aspect for me, this is a personal and dedicated company. And although a business, it feels much more connected. We all believe in the same God and by working for Him, that’s what really makes us all family.
What’s your favorite book at TEACH Services?
My favorite book we have here would have to be “Swift Arrow” by Josephine Cunnington. I absolutely loved reading this book when I was a kid. It’s an exciting and inspiring book and all around good read.
Who is your favorite author at TEACH Services?
Eric B. Hare. He writes such interesting and exciting stories! I grew up hearing and reading his stories and they’re just as exciting now as they were before. I also really loved the book that Merikay McLeod wrote called “Now.” The way the author tells the story really spoke to me and made an impression on me.

Under the Blood Banner by Eric Kreye. It is a true story that showed me what a Christian family did to help those in need during the Holocaust.

I would have to say one that shows every representation of Christ's ministry as represented in the Old Testament.

More children's books about walking with God in daily life. They help to build strong Christian values and I love watching my grandchildren sit and read our books while drawing closer to God.
What's your favorite memory of interacting with a customer?
The day Marie called in about her order and we ended up talking about TEACH's mission project. I shared how God had led a friend to tell me about an orphanage in Kenya who might be in need of Adventist books. Marie was amazed as she had been sponsoring this very orphanage for years and just that week they had called her to ask if she could send them books. We both knew God was bringing us together to meet their needs.
