William A Spicer, born December 19, 1865. Attended Battle Creek College 1877-82. He was converted in 1880; ordained in 1893. Stenographer in Battle Creek Sanitarium, and to Elder S N Haskell, whom he accomapnied to Europe. Engaged in editorial work in London 1887-91 and 1893-99, and in Calcutta, India, 1899 to 1902. Secretary of the Mission Board 1891-92 and of the Mission Board and General Conference beginning in 1901. He died in 1952.
