Product Description

Highly absorbing, fascinating, and even challenging, with prayer this book will change your life.

Through a careful study of Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy, As He Is examines subjects such as the flood, Sodom and Gomorrah, the plagues of Egypt, Israel’s use of the sword, the final fires of destruction, and much more, thus reconciling the issue of the supposed contradictions found in the character of God as Satan proposes. The rebellion of sin will not be ended until the accusations regarding God’s character and government are brought to a close through God’s people here in earth’s theater.

Many people simultaneously hold two separate pictures of God. They have a “thunder and lightning” view of the Old Testament God of justice, whereas in the New Testament, God is seen as the bearer of mercy, personified in the gentle Lamb, Jesus. But Jesus came to show us the Father; therefore, we are called to cease all double-mindedness about who God is—He must be the same yesterday, today, and forever. God is one in character, and He looks just like Jesus! Justice is not sacrificed in Christ, but it is not served according to the thoughts and ways of humanity. At last it will be seen by all that His justice is mercy.

The book is endorsed by the following individuals:

  • “Nothing in the world is more important or more necessary than to get the character of God right. We can fill libraries up with religious books, all being most interesting, but if they are not telling the truth about God, it is all vain and a waste of time and space. As He Is should be read carefully by everybody.” Herbert Edgar Douglass,ThD, Author of God at Risk
  • “God has not arbitrarily set a time for His second coming, but rather He is waiting for the final demonstration of the complete victory over sin in His people, through His Spirit. The Body of Christ must be pure and clean, as the Head of the Body is pure and clean.  If we are to share His throne then we must be like Him. This can only happen when we have a clear understanding of His character. This is what makes the subject of this book vitally important to comprehend. As He Is strives to answer through the inspired Word, in a logical and clear manner, many of the questions that man has asked over the years about the acts and character of God." Edward J. Rice,Head Elder, Lacombe Community Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • As He Is presents God as One quite different from traditional notions while staying close to the inspired text. It does a superb job of bringing passages together that unveil a better picture of God than what may have been noticed before. Much of traditional picturing of God the Father is out of harmony with the clearly recorded character of Jesus in the Gospel account. It is fundamental to Christian faith that the Godhead be understood as being love, and love alone!… I would invite all believers in God to please consider the clues in the written word that lift Him up above some ancient ideas that do not harmonize with the light we have in Jesus Christ.” D. Douglas Devnich, Pastor, Healthcare Chaplain, Teacher, Administrator of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

  1. Exceptional concept seems verified in re: true nature of God

Posted by Jean Riley on 20th Feb 2013

I am so impressed- this gives us a better understanding of what God is really like-He says He is love--love does not destroy, love does everything it can to heal and save.
"Anyone who refuses to learn new light should not be a teacher...."
I feel blessed to have been given this new light and will share with anyone willing to listen.

  2. A Must Read

Words cannot express how blessed I've been from reading this book. It has answered questions and put a lot of things in perspective. I'm reading it again and being doubly blessed. I wish everyone who's really serious about their christian walk would read this book. It's fantastic!

  3. The importance of knowing God with your mind

Posted by Marilyn Dittman, Director, Whole Health Practitioner, LifetreeWellness on 9th Jul 2012

Modern science has shown that 90-100% of our illnesses and diseases begin with the activity of our mind. In order to have health more abundantly we must have the mind of Christ. (Phil. 2:5). As He Is has proven to be the grandest and most clear instruction regarding the healing knowledge of God that I have found in my 60 years. “To know God is life eternal” John 17:3 We can rise no higher than our concept of who God is...So as you read this book, you can become that new creature in Christ; with new health, a new mind, and a new, closer experience in the presence of, and therefore the reflection of, the character of God.

  4. A Vital Subject

  5. A Thorough Study

Posted by James Z. Said, Doctor of Chiropractic, Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Bachelor of Science Mechanic on 21st Jun 2012

As He Is definitively addresses God’s unchanging character of mercy and justice in the face of sin, from its inception to its end. This penetrating study of Scripture and Spirit of Prophecy unravels and resolves a multitude of seeming contradictions that would have God’s mercy be at odds with His justice. From man’s fall from grace, to the great Flood, to the Cross, to the final eradication of sin, we are led to appreciate God’s infinitely tender love in His judgments, His vengeance, and wrath. Because we can rise no higher than our conceptions of truth, purity and holiness, it behooves us to allow the Word to reveal the truth of God as He is, and not as we would have Him be.

  6. Superb Job

Posted by D. Douglas Devnich, Minister of the Gospel in the Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1964; Pastor, H on 20th Jun 2012

Throughout the ages many thinkers and theologians have written works that communicate their thoughts about God. Many of these have imagined Him in ways that go beyond the written word about Him. As He Is presents God as One quite different from traditional notions while staying close to the inspired text. It does a superb job of bringing passages together that unveil a better picture of God than what may have been noticed before.

Much of traditional picturing of God the Father is out of harmony with the clearly recorded character of Jesus in the Gospel account. It is fundamental to Christian Faith that the Godhead be understood as being love, and love alone! The reader of this volume, as with any theological book, may find some things in it that may not reflect some long-held ideas about God. However, I would invite all believers in God to please consider the clues in the written word that lift Him up above some ancient ideas that do not harmonize with the light we have in Jesus Christ.

  7. critical MUST read

for everyone who wants to understand God's character, this book will unlock the answers to the myriad of questions we all have about God, Jesus and the bible that seemingly represents them as being different in character.

This is not a book to gather dust on the shelf, its a MUST read for everyone who has studied the bible or anyone yearning for clarity and understanding
